Craig Ruhnke
1963 - 2021
Craig Ruhnke found his peace and passed away suddenly on the night of January 5, 2021. For those that knew him, Craig lived to love and had one of the greatest hearts ever! He was funny, caring, and a loyal friend to those in his circle. He would put himself out there for any one who needed and would listen and support you in times of pain. Craig grew up in Summit and those of you there with him, and also Chris, know how important the friends and the life he had there were to him - he valued all of your memories and your friendships and we thank you for all of the fun and life he had with you. He talked about many of you often and missed the many others who have also passed away much too soon.
Craig will be terribly missed and leaves behind his mother (MaryBeth) who now has lost both of her sons and too much family to list here by name. Craig struggled after losing his brother Chris, but his pain continued when he lost his dad, and then finally the love of his life - Pam. His journey in life was far from easy, but Craig’s peace was the ocean and together Craig and Pam spent hours sitting at the beach talking about all of the life they would create together - but sadly, neither one were blessed with that time. Instead, Craig has peacefully returned to those he lost and cherished and watches over all of us that remain - missing him.
On behalf of the entire family, I want to thank Craig for the life and memories we had, both in happy times and in the crushing times - there were many of those. You will truly be missed and the world will not be the same without you in it. We know you finally found peace and until we all meet again - you will forever be in our hearts. Love you forever and a day!!
