1963 - 2017

Kristine Anne ‘Kris’ Jacobson of Hatboro passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Philadelphia. She was 53.

Born in Minneapolis, Minn., to Paul and Laura Jacobson, Kris and family moved to Summit, N.J., when she was seven. After graduating Summit High School in 1981, she then earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trenton State College in 1985.

After graduation, Kris began a career graphic design in at Maple Graphics in Summit. Kris then moved to Gretna, La., before moving to Pennsylvania, where she lived and worked as a graphic designer for more than 20 years.

An avid motorcyclist, Kris enjoyed long tours with friends and her motorcycle club, Winding Road Riders. Her favorite ride was the ‘Tail of the Dragon,’ at the edge of the Great Smokey Mountains, where there are 318 turns in 11 miles and no driveways or intersecting roads to interfere with the ride. Kris was proud to share this challenging accomplishment with motorcycle and car enthusiasts from the world over.

Another of her varied interests was poker and other card games. She enjoyed the competition, and the friends she made playing. Blessed with a wonderful singing voice, Kris enjoyed singing karaoke, country music, and dancing with friends whenever possible.

Kris was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer in 2011 and given a prognosis of six to 18 months to live. True to her fighting spirit, she was very proud of the fact she celebrated four 50th birthdays.

Preceded in death by her mother, Laura Ann Jacobson, Kris is survived by her father, Paul Jacobson of New Market, Ala.; her brothers, Kerry (Danisha), Rick, also of New Market, Ala., K.C. (Monica) of San Diego, Calif., and Patrick (Lynnette) of Evans, Colo.
