1962 - 2016

Christopher Charles Bowman died Saturday, November 12, 2016, at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center. He was 54.

Chris was born in Summit, NJ, a son to Johanna (Moroney) and the late Charles Bowman, where he lived until moving to Long Hill Township.

He was a graduate of Summit High School, and was the owner and operator of C. Bowman Construction in Gillette, NJ, for the last 28 years.

Chris loved Long Hill Township and fought to keep the rural nature of the town, raising funds to add lighting and the score board at Kantor Park. He donated time and funds to the Senior Center, Long Hill Township Police Department and the countless residence in Long Hill. He was also a little league coach.

He was pre deceased by his father Charles in 2005.

Chris is survived by his wife Lisa (Chaban) Bowman of 28 years, his daughter Kristin, his son Matthew, his sisters Julie Lackaye and her husband James, and Lisa Klaas and her husband Tom, a sister-in-law Enid and her husband Rick Farley, and his nieces and nephews Michelle, Emily and Maggie Klaas, Caitlin, Kevin, and Thomas Lackaye and Jack and Nick Farley.
